I had the honour, or rather the fortune (haha!), to attend Chippendales – The Ultimate Girls’ Night Out Tour in Singapore 2011! This fortune I got to enjoy, thanks to CozyCot’s invitation as part of the International Women’s Day campaign – 100 Most Inspiring Women in Singapore!

The Ultimate Girls’ Night Out Tour in Singapore 2011 show was held over four days at Resorts World Sentosa – Convention Centre from 23rd Feb to 26th Feb, and I attended the first show at 8pm. I got kinda lost at first, ‘cos the signs/directions to the Convention Centre were not exactly clear. Upon collection of my ticket, I was ushered by the super friendly CozyCot crew to the huge banner of Chippendales and got my photo taken. I was also asked to do a short video clip, introducing myself and the tagline of 100 Most Inspiring Woman in Singapore by CozyCot.
Happened to chance upon Andrea Claire, the Make-up/Stylist guru whom Rachel and I had met before, and we realised we held the tickets next to each other!
Great to have a companion for the show! Chatted for awhile, and we discussed about the crowd – surprisingly, there were quite a number of men accompanying their wives/girlfriends to the show, hmmmms. The crowd made up of mostly women (no surprise), and I reckoned they are in their 40s. Our tickets were for the mid-range seats, the VIPs got to seat right at the front near to the stage with free flow of drinks and the chance to oogle at the Chippendales!
The show started with a bang, a song ensemble
I have to say putting all the stripping acts aside, the Chippendales are really talented! They are suave, built, tall, sing well, ‘act’, dance superbly, and they captured the audiences’ hearts! Haha. What’s there not to love about them? There are a number of sets – cowboy, uniform, James Bond, Casanova, pub setting, sensual, mechanics etc. They sure know how to role-play please. The cowboy segment was nearing the end already, so they asked ALL the audience to come right to the front of the stage area (I sympathised with the VIP audience!). Almost the whole group went to the far, whilst Andrea and I sat at the front. Haha! THEN, one of the Chippendales came and asked me up to the stage. OMGBBQ >.< it’s for the cowboy segment, and I was tied up with those rope and tossed/turned around by the Chippendales. Heart was pounding damn heart that it nearly jumped out literally, I swear. Nonetheless, great experience I’d say! Haha. Needless to say, the crowd got high everytime the Chippendales stripped down to nothing, literally! ‘cept they did cover their bits with either a cloth or their hats, haha! And I must say, I enjoyed the uniform segment the most – which was also the favourite for most I guess, ‘cos the crowd kept roaring non-stop!

The show ended 1.5 hours later, and the Chippendales did continue with an encore ensemble. Really entertaining show!
Here’s the pictures for the encore segment, check out those robotic bods!

Then, photo-taking session! Everyone thought it’s free until the usherers announced it’s S$20 per head – audience head, mind you. Expensive eh? Thinking that my ticket was complimentary, so I decided to just fork out that amount. Anyways, when would I ever attend a striptease/erotic male dance show again? Haha. I chose to take with Group B – the one with my favourite Chippendale (the guy who stood next to me in the picture!). So sickening to know that they still look damn suave at aged 39!

All in all, that sums my first experience to an Erotic Male Dancer showcase – Chippendales. Had to admit I was a bit apprehensive at first, but I must say I did not regret going in the end…all thanks to CozyCot for the invitation once again!
x, out.
