My Saturdate;

Published March 8, 2012 by myntshop

In a slow turn of time, it’s finally Thursday. No doubt the shitty day, I’m sure it’s gonna be a great night ‘cos sisters and I are meeting up for dinner! What’s more, we are gonna celebrate da-jie’s (belated) birthday :) Most probably gonna dine at any good restaurant that we can find at Millenia Walk. Yay! Miss these girls loads, our last meet-up was for Christmas and I remember that was the first time we’d met Baby Clarisse. XOXO

Gonna be a short pictorial post, and review on Love, Bonito (LB) Dakota Blouse in Navy and Grey Clutch from Ascentee.

Darling babysis dropped by my office last Thursday to pass me these lovely chiffon cakes, ‘cos she said she’s gonna miss when she flies to Malaysia with Mommy to visit Grandma. Sweet daooooo :) was really happy to see her, and not to mention…savouring these cakes during my lesson later that night. Tried to ask her for the address of this bakery, but all she could remember is, this is near her workplace at Robinsons Road. Goldfish memory = her. -___-

Cranberry, Chocolate, Marble, and Vanilla

Quite sad to hear of the old folks being admitted into hospitals and/or falling ill out of the sudden, after hearing the news of my grandparents, Stan’s Grandma was also hospitalised for sudden vomitting and breathing difficulty. So glad that she’s out of the hospital now. Anyhoots, we had dinner at DTF and desserts at Secret Recipe! One can never get sick of XLBs, still prefer theirs over Crystal Jade’s anytime. ;) And also, the Raspberry Marble Cheesecake that I’d ordered was simply divine. A tad too pity that the price is almost the same as Malaysia’s outlets, except with the change of currency sign only. Bummer!

NOTD/ Nail Diary

My sis got into this hype over nail polishes, and bought a few bottles of loud (bright) hues for herself from The Face Shop. I did a little more work for my nails over the weekend, applied this purplish glitter shade from TFS and added another coat of glitter shade from LA Colour. Happy!

OTD/ Outfit Diary; Love, Bonito (LB) Dakota Blouse in Navy and Grey Clutch from Ascentee

*myntshop Snowflake necklace as shown in photo

Managed to snag this piece via restocks collection! Was contemplating on white or navy, but slow fingers me was left with the Navy option in the end. Nothing to grumble about this versatile piece as it works great as a layering top for any outfit. I’d paired it up with a long singlet from Cotton On, and a black mini skirt from MNG. The clutch is my favourite till date, it comes with a chain sling but I prefer to use it this way. Any recommendations on where to get similar clutches like this? Thanks a million! :)

For ref, UK10/ 168cm.

Now, you may ask – “What’s so special about Nutrium10?”

Identified by International Academy of Cosmetic Dermatology (IACD), one of the world’s largest networks of dermatologist, Nutrium10 is the scalp care technology that makes CLEAR Shampoo a notch above the rest. Unlike other anti-dandruff shampoos, the new Nutrium10 CLEAR Shampoo treats the root cause! It was even put through clinical testing, and the response was very positive. Dermatologists have responded that CLEAR Nutrium10 works to prevent dandruff from coming back!

Published December 6, 2011 by myntshop

Thanks to The Sample Store and Hada Labo for sponsoring me with its latest product – Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid (SHA) Hydrating Cleansing Oil! Given my mild sensitive and combi skin, I got to admit that I am not very adventurous when it comes to skin care products. Hence, Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid (SHA) Hydrating Cleansing Oil is my first try at cleansing oil!

Here’s my review…

A few points to note:

  • The ”make-up” test above is the standard eye make-up routine that I use for my work days – Maybelline Waterproof MAGNUM Volum’ Express Mascara, Maybelline Gel Liner, Kate Shimmery Eyeshadow.
  • I followed up with my Avene facial cleanser to make sure that my skin is cleansed thoroughly (‘cos I am really anal when it comes to removing my make-up)
  • One key reason why Hada Labo remains a hot favourite among many ladies – its products does not contain any mineral oil (other Cleansing Oils in the market contain mineral oil which is harmful to skin and clogs pores, a big no no!).

Despite not being an avid user of cleansing oils, I would say this product may make me a new convert! It’s really that awesome ;)

The Hada Labo Hydrating Cleansing Oil is priced at $20.90 and is available exclusively at Watsons nationwide. The Hada Labo SHA Hydrating Make-up Remover is priced at $17.90 and available at Watsons, Guardian, Fairprice and other major departmental stores.

Review on Laneige Water Sleeping Pack_EX

Published August 24, 2011 by myntshop

After using the Laneige Water Sleeping Pack_EX for over three months (you can read my first post on the product here), I strongly recommend this mask! Though I haven’t been using it diligently like once every two to three days, I think it works miracles on your skin the next day. Now, I am trying my best to stick to the routine once every three days, due to the nature of my oily T-zone. And, I can see the difference =) the skin’s more hydrated on the inside, and it is not so dry-looking anymore. Also, it’s highly raved among my other girlfriends! Another plus point is, which I think it fits busy people to a T, the ease and convenience of just spreading it across your face before you head to bed and simply washing it off when you wake up from your sleep the next day. Lazy mask? Definitely.

Hydration? Checked!
Now, it’s the blackheads issue. Any product(s) to recommend for that?
Would love to hear suggestions from you all =)

Thanks in advance!

Laneige Water Sleeping Pack_EX
Review

So, after much contemplation, finally got my Mom to help me get this mask from Robinsons Sale! Having tried it for the third night, my Mom said she could spot some differences in the texture of my skin, haha! I am currently using it every two nights, as recommended by the SA – either every night or every two nights. Amount to use – using the plastic scoop given, about 2cm? Spread it evenly over your face, shortly before you head to bed, and rinse it off the next morning! It’s that simple :)

I’ve purchased it for 10% off – S$40.50, u.p. S$45
I’ll say – TRY IT! :) Will update this review after a week, maybe with pictures? :)

x, out.
